Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

AUTh is the largest university in Greece, with 11 Faculties organized into 40 Schools. Almost 73,930 under- and postgraduate students’ study at the Aristotle University, the Teaching and Research Staff numbers 2,500 people.

AUTh holds 146 International Scientific Agreements with Universities in Russia, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, the Near, Middle and Far East. Also, it has currently approximately 538 bilateral agreements with European Universities, and it has supported the implementation of TEMPUS, JEAN MONNET projects, etc. It also participates actively in several ERASMUS MUNDUS Action 1 & 2 consortia. AUTh ranks first among Greek higher education institutions in terms of mobility. In addition, since 2015, Aristotle University runs an Erasmus+ ICM programme in the framework of which 60 agreements have been signed with universities in 29 countries all over the world. AUTh participates in 25 HORIZON 2020 projects in diverse research areas.

Ever mindful of rapid change and progress, AUTh constantly update its strategy, policies and everyday practices, in order to meet contemporary local and global demands. The University has been able to determine its strengths and weaknesses and to adopt a holistic internationalization strategy.

AUTh’s Research Policy has two main objectives: first to promote quality and then to foster excellence. Having the quality as a priority and driven by the principals of measurement, correction, evaluation and redefinition, the University aims at its distinction in the international research arena.

European University of Cyprus

European University Cyprus (EUC) was founded in 2007 and developed out of Cyprus College, which was established in 1961 by Ioannis Gregoriou. Today, EUC operates five Schools, namely, the School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences, the School of Business Administration, the School of Sciences, the Medical School, and the School of Law with the mission to educate students for successful careers and life achievement, to understand and serve the needs of society, and to create knowledge through research and innovation.

The University hosts a diverse and dynamic research community with experienced researchers, including Nobel Laureates Professor Robert Huber (Chemistry, 1988) and Professor Ada Yonath (Chemistry, 2009), who collaborate with colleagues in some of the best universities in the world (Harvard, Cambridge, King’s College London, Imperial College London and many others). Research activity is primarily carried out by a number of research centers, laboratories, and other kinds of specialized settings such as clinics and innovation centers.

European University Cyprus has accumulated approximately 2.5M euros in research funding in the last 3 years, while it ranks third among the Cypriot universities in terms of total funding from Horizon2020 (first among private universities).

The University has been awarded the “HR Excellence in Research” logo by the European Commission, which identifies institutions and organizations at the European level as providers and supporters of a stimulating and favourable working environment. EUC is also partner in HALT project.

Allgeimeiner Sprotverbant Österreichs - Landesstelle Salzburg

Allgemeiner Sportverbant Österreichs – Landesstelle Salzburg (ASVÖ Salzburg) team has participated in the following national projects as implementer at regional level, in the Federal State of Salzburg:

  1. For Respect and Safety (Für Respekt und Sicherheit): In accordance with European Commission’s Gender Equality in Sport Proposal for Strategic Action 2014-2020, this nationwide project focuses on the fight against gender-based violence in and through sport. The project raises awareness and sensitises as many stakeholders concerned as possible in ASVÖ member organisations, such as ASVÖ Salzburg, to prevent the sexual harassment of girls and women in sport. Through the implementation of this project, ASVÖ Salzburg is also part of a national platform that promotes the cooperation of different stakeholders from sport in Austria, called 100% Sport. 100% Sport is the national coordinator partner in the EU-funded VOICE project – Voices for truth and dignity. A multiplier workshop within the framework of the “For Respect and Safety” Project took place on 6-8 October 2017 in Salzburg.
  2. Fit and Safe (Fit und Sicher, www.fitundsicher.at): This initiative promotes healthy life habits of girls while teaching them how to protect themselves against violence and harassment. It also develops the self-confidence of girls.

ASVÖ Salzburg is also partner in HALT project.

Through the participation in the above-mentioned projects, ASVÖ Salzburg has gained considerable amount of expertise to implement similar project activities.

Therefore, ASVÖ Salzburg team acquires the necessary knowledge as well as network at regional and national level to participate in needs analysis, the creation of educational content and intellectual outputs. With their membership base consisting of 380 sport clubs across the Federal State of Salzburg, ASVÖ Salzburg can ensure the implementation of the HALT4Kids Project at grassroots level. ASVÖ Salzburg also has the adequate human resources for organization of multiplier events and dissemination activities

European Gymnastics

European Gymnastics (EG) team it is a very experienced team for disseminating project results and best practices to its very big network of athletes and clubs in Europe since is representing 50 national federations and more than 10.000.000 gymnasts. Especially EG is a very various partner since in the recent years, a big number of whistle blows are coming from the Gymnastic and especially from child athletes. From their past initiatives, they have started working on prevention of sexual harassment and abuse in sport. They see this project as an opportunity to educate the athletes as well as coaches, staff and other stakeholders about their rights and responsibilities in ensuring safe environment free of harassment or abuse. EG team will support the pilot evaluation and dissemination of the HALT4Kids project and the organization of the multiplier events in Europe. Also, EG is one of the most important HALT4Kids member to contribute on the best practices elaboration, athletes’ and sport stakehorders’ mobilization and project results and policies dissemination.

Union of Sports Federations in Catalunya

The Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia is an organ of solidarity among the sports federations. It represents the Catalan sport in and out of our country, commissions to create debate and give solutions to the own problems of the Catalan sportive sector. It meets the companies of the group. It is the umbrella for the 71 Catalan Sport Federations. UFEC is made up of 69 sports federations throughout Catalunya with around 12,500 clubs covering a wide variety of sports such as football, cycling, tennis, volleyball, athletics, sailing and fencing. The number of federation members currently stands at around 70,000 with representatives from various abilities, social and ethnic backgrounds and ages. Its purposes are to unify and represent Catalan sports federations and organised. Generalitat de Catalunya that aims to discuss and resolve issues that affect sports in Catalonia as a whole and it’s also a training organisation for sports education. UEFC team will lead WP3 (Evaluation Pilots) and activity 3.4 (Pilots & End users’ evaluation) and support the dissemination of the HALT4Kids project and the organization of the multiplier events in Spain. Also, UEFC will contribute on the best practices elaboration, athletes’ and sport stakeholders’ mobilization and project results and policies dissemination.

Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Margherita Sport E Vita Basket

Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Margherita Sport e Vita Basket (MSV) team is a very experienced team for disseminating project results and best practices to its very big network of athletes in Italy (Margherita de Savoia). ASD Margherita Sports e Vita (MSV) has been appointed to carry out one of the most important missions of any modern city; to create conditions for the development of the sports activity of the inhabitants of Margherita di Savoia and its surrounding territory. It’s located in Southern Italy at 75 km from Bari, the capital Apulia region. Margherita di Savoia it’s inhabited by 12.500 inhabitants and during the spring/summer season is a tourist destination for family and kids for long beaches and thermals centers; famous for being placed inside Salt basins largest in Europe, the same salt harvest is one of the main productive wealth of the territory exported all over the world; here the Nature is home! Every year, we implement various projects to enjoy this sport with thousands of young athletes from 5 to 18 years. We organize events that bring many fans of physical activity, especially in the growth of the cultures of youth basketball and Sport outdoor in general. We organize thousands of free recreational activities, all of which can benefit everyone, regardless of age or ability. We are equipped with urban infrastructure outdoor/ indoor, thus creating aesthetic and functional space for sports. We realize international projects allow us to exchange experience with major European countries. We popularize sports Margherita di Savoia, Italy and in the world. Consequently, we develop the desire to make our wonderful city famous for its natural beauties and modern thermal bathing facilities, a place where the beauty of the idea of the sports and tourism to operate on both the grand spaces, and right next to us in the urban space.
